  After going to the Sister's Tea Room a few times for afternoon tea, I booked it for my niece's bridal shower. Since we had 30 guests attending, we used both rooms, and the way it was set up no one was crowded. Julia worked with me to come up with a menu that included gluten free items for those family members that were allergic to gluten. Those ladies said that they could not tell the items were gluten free because they were so delicious. We had the high tea, which started with a cold watermelon gazpacho that was very refreshing on the hot summer day. The salad was fresh and crisp with mandarin oranges and a wonderful dressing. The white chocolate and apricot scones melted in your mouth, and many of the guests asked if they could order some. ( You can with a few days notice) I selected the curried chicken salad, egg salad, cucumber and a veggie sandwich for the choices. Everything tasted fresh and homemade. The dessert fancies were artfully presented and added just the right ending to the meal. We had three different teas served, one which was an iced tea. The service never faltered. The guests said it was the best shower they ever attended, and I agree. The sisters did everything they could to make it a wonderful experience, and many of the guests said they were definitely going back.

  This tea room has typical tea room decor but a little worn. The food was simple and the prices were low. My friends and I all choose the 4 tea sandwiches. They were good but just had a garnish of slice of orange and 2 grapes on the plate. The scones were warm and came with a dab of cream and lemon curd. The best bet is the
  bread pudding. It was delicious with a hint of rum. I would stop again if I was in the area.
